Pullman Hotel, Sydney Olympic Park

"It is only through such respect for each other's positions and the openness of the discussions that we have been able to achieve this result.

In years to come, people will look at this hotel as one of those visionary developments which do not come about that often."

David Baffsky, Chairman, Accor Asia Pacific

The Mint - Historic Houses Trust Head Office, 10 Macquarie Street, Sydney

"The project was filled with so many constraints - very important historic buildings to be conserved and protected, challenging new contemporary architecture, a tight budget, prestigious Macquarie Street address, constrained site, adjacent hospital and court house, close to Parliment House, every conceivable toxic material and a client who wanted to be involved in every aspect of the project.

Your willingness to work so collaboratively with the entire team was greatly appreciated and the excellent quality of your work speaks for itself. I would have no hesitation in recommending
St Hilliers as a contractor willing to accept difficult challenges, work collaboratively to achieve them, and finally, to get the best outcome."

Peter Watts, Director, Historic Houses Trust

Glenwood and John Edmondson High Schools

St Hilliers, as part of the Axiom Education Consortium, were contracted to provide the Department with construction and project management services for the New Schools Privately Financed Project.

The project, the first PPP social infrastructure development in NSW ... has a value of approximately AUD $135 million. St Hilliers was responsible for building the two secondary schools within the project.

As a landmark project in NSW, the outcome has been the subject of close scrutiny and high sensistivity for the Department. St Hilliers contribution has played a major part in the project's acknowledged success.

... St Hilliers representatives have consistently demonstrated a high degree of professionalism in their dealings with the Department. They have proven themselves to be flexible in their approach to problems, high communicative and enthusiastically committed to the PPP process."

Peter Ross, Project Director (PPP), NSW Department of Education and Training

Style at Home, Alexandria

"... This was not a standard project it included adaptive re-use of a sawtooth roof warehouse constructed 1943/44, demolition of several additions ...

The completed project is testimony to the project team's understanding of the aesthetic qualities of the large scale industrial heritage building. But of course aesthetics do not in themselves make a successful project. In addition, the project team listened and contributed solutions to architectural issues that arose from time to time; they through this and other completed bulky good projects understood retail issues associatetd with this development."

Joan Lees, Associate, Rice Daubney

Talavera Corporate Centre, North Ryde

"... The building was completed on time and within budget.

I found that the staff of St Hilliers were most accommodating in our special requests that needed to be incorporated into the building and always found them to be very professional.

I have no hesitation in recommending them for building works and if the need arises in the future, we will use their services again."

John Ryan, Company Secretary, Toshiba (Australia) Pty Ltd

Central Lecture Block, University of New South Wales

"... This was a complicated project and the thoroughness of the team understanding of the scope and their flexibility in meeting the needs of the University was a significant contributor to the success of this project.

The project presented many constraints - an extremely tight time frame, constrained site with restrictive access, an active Universoty environment and a client who wanted to eb directly involved in the project. St Hilliers successfully managed each of these constraints to the benefit of the project.

The focus on quality both in terms of service and workmanship was evident throughout the entire project from the entire St Hilliers Contracting team. They were responsive, thorough, cooperative, task focused and displayed a high level of project management skills."

Paul Dickinson, Operations Supervisor, Facilities Managment University of NSW
